About Us

Our Story

Alignor was founded in 1999 by Harvard Law graduates Jeanne-Marie Almonor and John Shulman. Globally recognized negotiation experts, Ms. Almonor and Mr. Shulman developed practical frameworks, tools and methodologies for implementing negotiation best practices across a wide range of business interactions, including sales, purchasing, managing teams, resolving conflict, and leading organizations.

The success of Alignor’s training, tools and methodologies across global enterprises led Alignor’s clients to request scalable, affordable methods of leveraging Alignor’s methodology through online learning. In response to this demand, Alignor created realistic simulations and micro-learning content configured into online Learning Journeys that target urgent business issues. Learner and manager engagement with the micro-learning, which is available in more than ten languages, has driven measurable business improvement. The comprehensive data analytics and reporting from the online Learning Journeys guide managers coaching their teams and enable L&D leaders to map development priorities to business results.

Organizations implementing Alignor’s approach have documented substantial revenue increases, faster closing time for deals, reduced costs, and stronger relationships (internal and external) that they attribute to their work with Alignor.

Alignor has trained and worked with tens of thousands of professionals and managers from large organizations throughout the United States and the world, including AstraZeneca, ABN AMRO Bank, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cadbury, Caterpillar, the CCIM Institute, Cummins, Deluxe, Delta Air Lines, Disney, Dräger, Fundaçao dom Cabral, General Mills, the Government of India, Grupo Televisa, HealthPartners, Henkel, International Dairy Queen, the Municipality of Dubai, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, the NAACP, Pepsico, Saint Catherine University, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, Schwan’s, SuperValu, Syngenta, Thomson Reuters, the United Nations, the US State Department and GSA, US Bank, and Xcel Energy.
